Description
With the bike shuttle we take participants to Silandro and from there our panoramic e-bike tour begins. We start at the Silandro/Schlanders station and cycle to the village of Cortes on the side of the Sonnenberg. From here the ascent begins and through orchards we reach the first mountain village, Allitz. With a magnificent view of the Vinschgau mountains, we continue uphill to Tanas (1,400 metres) and just above the small mountain village we reach the highest point and take a short break to enjoy the view of the valley and surrounding mountains. With a view of the Lasa marble quarry and its inclined railway, we now descend towards Sluderno. In Sluderno we pass Churburg Castle and reach Glorenza for a lunch break. In Italy's smallest town, Glorenza, we enjoy regional delicacies in the village square and refresh ourselves for the onward journey. The Via Claudia Augusta takes us back to Lasa and finally we reach our starting point in Silandro.
