E-mountain biking

E-Mountainbike A battery on a MTB? Not so long ago, such a break in style would have been laughed at. Never ridden one before? Give it a try! Unrideable slopes suddenly become achievable and MTB tours with too many altitude metres practically non-existent. The Bike Academy has the latest e-bike models from our partner manufacturers.

Things to see in Val Venosta for the bike-free time

Vernagtsee What do you do if one of your family members is on a bike tour and the others aren’t? Even the toughest of bikers needs a day to recuperate. What to do in your spare time? Our recommendations

Val Senales Monte San Vigilio

A few years ago, Val Venosta was still regarded as THE insider tip for the next MTB holiday. Those times have long gone because the valley has evolved into one of the outstanding bike destinations in the Alps. It’s mere location between a Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and numerous 3,000 m peaks makes it unique and leaves nothing to be desired. The touring area offers all levels of difficulty depending on the level of riding technique and MTB type.

There is an extensive infrastructure available for cycling holidaymakers: Bike Academy, specialised Bike Hotels as partners for overnight stays, a team of qualified guides, cable cars with MTB transport, signposted trails, bike shop, Academy rental bikes and much more.

A highlight in the MTB network is without question the Merano Bike Highline on the Monte Tramontana above Naturno. The Bike Academy team was actively involved when several trails and route variants were set up and signposted in 2014. Since then, the Merano Bike Highline has also been featured in major trade magazines and is one of the obligatory tours in the Val Venosta region.
